Volunteering

Volunteers are at the heart of what we do. We are looking for people of all ages and backgrounds to get involved in activities to support the day to day running of Wood Saints, a new community wood recycling business in Wolverhampton.

As a volunteer you can:

• Collect wood with our drivers
• Prepare timber for sale
• Work in our retail shop
• Learn wood-working skills and make simple products in our workshop
• Break down and de-nail pallets

There are also opportunities to volunteer in sales, marketing, administration or product design. You don’t need any experience to volunteer and can do as little as 4 hours a week.

All volunteers are invited for an informal chat at our office and are given a proper induction and relevant training for the role.

Our volunteer scheme is a valuable resource for organisations throughout the area, giving you the chance to refer people who may not be ready for employment, or who need work experience to show employers that they have something to offer.
