ASAN Wood Saints is pleased to announce another of our Woodwork Basics Classes, learn some new skills and make a useful Tool Box / Planter.
The Class will provide the opportunity to learn new skills from scratch and access a professional wood working facility. The four hour class will be hands on and take you through the different skills and techniques needed to create your own robust wooden tool box safely, which can also be used as a small planter.
Using reclaimed timber, collected by ASAN Wood Saints wood, our workshop manager will walk you through the steps to crafting your very own fabulous shabby chic item. You will learn how to measure and cut wood accurately and safely; as well as sanding, planing, drilling and sawing.
WORKSHOP TOOLS TO BE USED
Chop/ Mitre saw -Cut wood at various angles. Band saw – Rip through timber. Drill driver – Pilot holes & fixing screws. Pillar drill – bore vertical holes. Bench sander – quickly sand flat wood and make smooth curves. Palm sander – Versatile sanding
Participating in the class will build your confidence to use a range of woodworking tools and techniques, while making your very own wine rack. All tools, equipment and materials will be provided on the day.
Please arrive 15 mins before the class begins. There will also be a 30 minute break during the session for lunch or refreshments.
